Busy Sunday

Last Sunday was a busy day for us with a morning trip to the zoo, afternoon trip to the bowling alley, then a visit to the new house.

We got to the zoo at 8:30 in an attempt to beat some of the heat and crowds and so that Chris could make his 12:00 tee time :)  Levi loves the aquarium, here we are in the tunnel and Levi is following a shark.
We headed to Thunderbowl to bowl and have some pizza for dinner.  This was Levi's first time bowling, although he's been to the alley plenty of times visiting us on league nights.  Levi would walk up to the line, sit down, and get ready to roll the ball.  He did take a break from bowling to eat pizza when it arrived, though - as apparently pizza is more important than bowling.
We didn't use the bumpers, as Chris, Grandma Rose, and I were bowling, too.  We figured Levi would just have fun rolling the ball...and he did.  He especially like giving high 5's after each roll, whether it ended up in the gutter or not.  Levi ended up with a respectable 35 and me with my 34 week belly ended up with a 157.  Not too shabby, we decided that the belly helps with my balance.
The house is coming along, the cement board siding is up (the grey) and most of the shake shingles are up in the gables (the brown).  The siding and shake will be painted green and the area on the bottom that isn't covered will be stone.
We're pretty excited about the basement in the house.  It won't be finished for awhile, but it's so big since the house is a ranch.  We haven't been able to go down there until this past week when they put in stairs to the basement.  Other recent progress has included installation of the pocket door tracks (pocket doors into the master bath, and from both sides of the kids' jack and jill bath), cold air returns, and some of the plumbing.

Your basement is HUGE!! You could probably fit a couple of lanes down there...

Wouldn't that be the coolest - to have bowling lanes in the basement??
