World Trade Center

During our trip to New York, we spent Wednesday - Friday in Manhattan. Our hotel happened to be the Millennium Hilton, which overlooks ground zero. Friday was September 11th and we were witness to some of the memorial services.

The only real memorial that is finished is on the side of the fire house that was next to the World Trade Center. On September 11 there were firemen and policemen that stood vigil while others left flowers and notes. We witnessed one of the changing of the guards:

The towers of light were on from dusk on Friday to dawn on Saturday.
